Lorex 4K 1TB Wi-Fi Video Surveillance System

Lorex 4K 1TB Wi-Fi HaLow NVR System with Outdoor Battery Security Cameras with Rechargeable Batteries

L85591-8AA4-2B

Introducing the industry’s first 4K Battery-Operated Camera NVR system with Wi-Fi HaLow technology.

Wi-Fi HaLow uses a lower frequency to extend and strengthen the wireless connection of the cameras while also preserving their power. This superior connection, along with an easy DIY installation, a premium feature-set, and 1TB of data storage with no recurring fees, makes this system a perfect choice to protect any type of property.

4K Resolution (4 X Greater than 1080p)

► Infrared Night Vision

► Color Night Vision

► 2-Way Talk-Listen

► Siren

► Weatherproof Cameras

Superior Video Quality, Day and Night: Experience the quality of 4K Resolution, delivering exceptional video clarity, realistic color imaging with digital zoom. Get enhanced detail with nighttime video thanks to Color Night Vision (ambient lighting required) and Infrared Night Vision, which records crisp black and white video in complete darkness.

Versatile Battery-Operated Design: Lose the wires, not the coverage. Get security where you need it the most and enjoy flexible and seamless installation thanks to the battery-operated design. These cameras feature a 3-Cell Battery Power Pack, supporting 4K Resolution while offering up to 600 motion events with a single charge.

Experience the Improved Range and Connectivity of Wi-Fi HaLow: Wi-Fi HaLow connection delivers a better overall connectivity, especially across longer distances, as it uses a sub-1GHz frequency.

Get Alerts that Matter: Only receive notifications you care about and reduce unwanted alerts with Person Detection with no recurring monthly fees.

Proactive Security: Get an added layer of security and deter unwanted visitors with the motion-activated warning light and a remotely triggered siren.

Speak with Ease: Hear and speak directly to visitors through the camera using the Lorex Cirrus app with 2-Way Talk.

Private Local Storage: What does your security camera record the most of? You. Keep your recordings where they belong – Private, at home and in your control with the NVR’s dedicated local storage. Enjoy ample storage for your video recordings with the 1TB Hard Drive.

No Subscription Required: Experience top quality security at no extra cost. Access all premium camera features, motion events and video recordings with no recurring monthly fees.

As you grow, so can your security: Expand your security. This NVR system is 6 camera capable, allowing you to add up to 2 more cameras when you need more coverage.

Monitor your home or property whenever you like: Stay connected to your Lorex battery-operated security system from anywhere with the Lorex Cirrus App. Receive push notifications straight to your phone’s home screen if one of your cameras detects motion, easily review past motion events using the easy-to-read history timeline, and much more.

How long will a battery Power Pack last for?: The battery life of this Power Pack is dependent on how often the security camera turns on. This means that the battery life will be significantly less if the camera is in a high traffic area full of motion activity or much longer if it is in a very low traffic area. The period of time that the camera remains recording after the camera senses motion will also impact how long a Power Pack Plus will last. At 10 seconds recording with approximately 24 events per day, the battery will last 6 months.

Disclaimers:

► Estimates provided are for 20°C / 68°F

► Battery consumption varies on temperature

► Darker environments may reduce battery life up to 50%

► Colder climates may reduce battery life up to 50%

► Lorex recommends not installing cameras close to tree’s to increase battery life (falling leaves increase potential events)

►  Lorex recommends not installing camera’s facing high traffic streets or paths in order to increase battery life

► The capacity of the power pack degrades over time due to aging.

Video Surveillance for Home or Business

Make sure that you do your research!  Ask questions!

Buy 4K/8-12 Megapixel (4K is 4 X Higher Resolution than 1080p)

NVR = Network Video Recorder (NEW Technology – CAT5e, CAT6 Data Cable)

NVR systems use Power over Ethernet (PoE) to Power the Cameras over the CAT5e/CAT6 Ethernet Cabling.

NVR systems use IP Cameras (unless you use an adapter to allow use of an older technology Analog Camera)

NVR systems process the video/data at the camera rather than on the recorder

NVR recorders receive digital signal from cameras, so video quality is BETTER than a DVR at same resolution

► Ethernet cables (NVR) carry audio, so all cameras with microphones could record audio to the NVR

—————————————————————————————————————

DVR (OLD Technology – Coax Cabling) (Less Expensive)

Coaxial cable does not provide power to the camera, there are actually two cables included within one covering, a power and video cable.

DVR systems transmit analog video signal, which results in a lower quality image compared to NVR systems. (Siamese cable)

DVR systems transmit analog video signal and processes the video/data at the DVR/recorder

————————————————————————————————————-

Make sure that your Cable to Camera Connection is in a Waterproof housing or your cameras will rust/corrode and stop working

Do not slow your home WiFi network down by using a bunch of video cameras on it, or it will slow down your gaming, streaming, and internet usage

Do not use battery powered cameras unless you plan to check, charge, and/or replace the batteries often  (do you want to be up on a ladder in the rain replacing a battery ?

Do the cameras that you’re looking at require 110/VAC Power ? (regular power outlet) How much is going to cost to get an Electrician to install the 110/VAC Power to your new camera location ?  Can you even find an Electrician who will do that type of work ?  Where is he going to run the power from ?

Floodlight Cameras can only be hardwired (100V-240V). If you do not already have an existing 110/VAC Power junction box, one can be installed, however, you must hire a Licensed Electrician for this.

Low Voltage Cabling Facts

CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, CAT7, and CAT7A Low Voltage Cables are all manufactured with 4-twisted pairs. All major cable manufacturers make their cable to meet or exceed the minimum industry standards for each type of low voltage cabling.

The Maximum Distance for CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, CAT7, and CAT7A cable is 100-Meters or 328’.

CAT5e: CAT5e cabling supports up to Gigabit Ethernet by transmitting at a frequency of 100-MHz.

CAT6:

CAT6 cabling supports 10-Gigabit Ethernet by transmitting at a frequency of 250-MHz.

CAT6 cabling uses 23 AWG conductors and more pair twists per inch to reduce signal noise and interference.

CAT6 specifications guarantee that 100-Meter runs of Category 6 cable are capable of Gigabit transfer speeds. (10GB speeds are limited to 164 feet with CAT6)

CAT6A:

CAT6A cabling doubles the capacity of CAT6 by transmitting at a frequency of 500-MHz.

CAT6A cabling supports full 10-Gigabit Ethernet speeds up to the max cable length of 100 meters (328’).

CAT7:

CAT7 cabling supports 100GB speeds up to 15-Meters/49’

CAT7 cabling supports 40GB speeds up to 50-Meters/164’

CAT7 cabling supports 10GB speeds up to 100-Meters/328’

CAT7 cabling transmits at a frequency of 600-MHz.

CAT7A:

CAT7A cabling supports 100GB speeds up to 15-Meters/49’

CAT7A cabling supports 40GB speeds up to 50-Meters/164’

CAT7A cabling supports 10GB speeds up to 100-Meters/328’

CAT7A cabling transmits at a frequency of 1,000-MHz.

CAT7 and CAT7A are the newest cable standards for Ethernet cabling

CAT7 cable was developed with strict specifications on crosstalk and EMI protection.

CAT7 and CAT7A cabling are REACH and RoHS compliant.

CAT7A cable has conductor pairs that are individually wrapped in foil and surrounded by an overall braid.

CAT7/CAT7A applications include 10-gigabit Ethernet, PoE+, HDBaseT and more.

CAT7/CAT7A provide exceptional noise immunity.

CAT7/CAT7A have all pairs individually shielded.

CAT7/CAT7A have four (4) individually shielded pairs as well as an overall cable shield to protect the signals from crosstalk and EMI

CAT7/CAT7A NOTES:

CAT7 cable is commonly terminated using a GG45 connector, which is a connector that it backwards compatible with the 8-Pin/8Conductor RJ45 connectors used on CAT6/A or CAT5e cables.

The GG45 connector has four additional conductors that provide support for frequencies up to 600MHz, and 1000MHz using CAT7a. The higher frequencies allow CAT7 cable to support 10-Gigabit Ethernet.

CAT7 cable may also be terminated using TERA connectors, which was developed by Siemon. The TERA connector has a unique footprint and is not compatible with a standard 8-Pin/8Conductor RJ45 connector. The TERA connector is also capable of supporting frequencies of up to 600MHz, up to 1000MHz using CAT7A cable. The ability to support the higher frequencies allows CAT7 and CAT7A cable to carry more data. This allows CAT7 and CAT7A cable to support Ethernet applications up to 10-Gigabit Ethernet.

CAT7 and CAT7A cabling will be used for backbone connections between servers within a data center. This will provide a high-speed interconnect used for data transfer within the network.

This also provides an alternative to using fiber optic cabling within the data center. CAT7 and CAT7A cabling will provide similar performance to some fiber solutions. The cost of equipment that supports copper cabling is typically less than equipment that supports fiber cabling. Another advantage is that the copper cabling is not as fragile as fiber cabling.

Testimonials: What our Customers are Saying!

Here’s what our customers have to say about us:

Review by D. M. in Seattle, WA
Project: Install or Upgrade a Telephone System
Comments: Prompt and professional. I can count on ECS to service the schools Avaya telephone system.
Review by Susan (sue) W.
Project: Install, Service, or Repair Surveillance Cameras
Comments: I needed to swap my security camera network out for a new one, and had some specific requirements that I had compiled from several years of experience with using security cameras. Efficient Communication Solutions responded quickly to my request for information on the services they provide. Don, one of the co-owners, visited and listened carefully to my wish-list for a new system. We went through many options and configurations and found one that met my needs for a reasonable price for the equipment and installation. The two-person crew who did the actual installation were great. James and Jacob came prepared, did top notch work with installing all the cabling and cameras, all while being a delight to work with. There were no corners cut, no sloppy work, they paid careful attention to details, and the final result is a neat, professional installation. The NVR configuring was completed and tested, and they explained the settings and usage clearly. The scheduling of the installation was less than 2 weeks out after signing a contract and the work was done in just over 3 days. I want to also mention that James and Jacob were very careful when around my cats, not letting them outside, and not scaring or disturbing them. Their efforts were greatly appreciated. On a scale of 1 to 10, the work ECS did on this system was a solid 10. There is a catio/sunroom project in the works, and after it was completed, I will be using ECS to install additional cameras around the new structure – no question about who I will call to do the work.
