History & Philosophy
LightSpeed Networks, Inc. (LSN) was founded in 2005 by a conglomerate of rural utility companies to provide the infrastructure to bring their customers telecommunications services. Their products deliver high speed internet to k-12 schools, higher education institutions, state and local government, and television broadcasters. In less than a decade LSN has grown to become a major regional telecommunications provider while maintaining a focus on connecting those who need it most. The LSN network architecture is designed to maximize innovations and solve communications hurdles unique to rural communities. Their products allow smaller scale Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) to leverage the LSN footprint to offer better, more ubiquitous service with optimal route protection.
