AVAYA IP Office R10 – Server Edition Components

Primary Server:

  • • Provides call control, web portal, web collaboration, mobility, IM and presence, messaging, and centralized licensing using WebLM in a single server
  • • Runs on an Avaya-provided Linux server or a customer- provided virtualized server
  • • Supports 750/2000/2000 users on a single server depending on the hardware (R220/R620/R630)

Secondary Server:

  • • Provides both capacity and resilience for the solution, and can be added to the Server Edition Primary at any time. The Server Edition Secondary need not be located in the same place as the Server Edition Primary.
  • • Provides additional capacity of 750/1500/2000 users and/or resiliency depending on the server
  • • Secondary server may also be designated as a Server Edition expansion system to the primary or as a dedicated applications server

Expansion System (IP500 V2):

  • • Provides additional capacity of 384 users at a remote location
  • • Provide analog and digital phone connectivity when used as a gateway to Server Edition server, up to 30 sites.
  • • Provide call capability through local PSTN during Primary Server outage.

System Capacities:

  • • Up to 2,000 users at a single site or across 32 locations
  • • Up to 512 SIP trunk channels per Primary/Secondary server
  • • Up to 256 SIP trunk channels per Secondary server Expansion System
  • • With IP500 V2: – (not simultaneously)

Up to 384 IP, digital or analog users/extensions

Up to 125 IP Trunks (H.323, SIP)

Up to 204 analog trunks
